He got several awards also when he was in Kolkata. I have known Subrata for twenty years now. Always righteous, with high integrity and an absolute idealist, he was my first learning how a technical person acquires this huge customer trust and intimacy. Those days, back in Kolkata, not a single customer wasn’t his best friend. He loved them crazy, and they reciprocated. His other trait that impressed me, back to that day, is his deep intellectual creative prowess. He was the first medical device professional I knew who was an acclaimed author and playwright. His creations were already greeting published in very reputed publications. Over the past two decades, I have seen Subrata morph, especially this past ten years, through which I have only seen him from a distance. I have watched him grow in his professional career and at the same time, seen with a lot of admiration, his paintings.
